After being fired by AEW after his "All In" brawl with Jack Perry, professional wrestler CM Punk is expected to deliver an "explosive" response to his former company. However, as AEW Collision began, there were also reports that security was confiscating CM Punk signs in the crowd.

Punk reportedly had an argument with AEW owner Tony Khan, and they did not speak to each other after "All In." Several days later, Khan announced that after an investigation, he had decided to fire one of his company's biggest draws. AEW reportedly had an outside legal counsel hold an independent investigation into the "All In" fight.

Sources close to both sides are expecting that CM Punk, whose real name is Phil Brooks, will give out an "explosive" response due to the "Straight Edge Superstar" having a penchant for being outspoken and unafraid to speak his mind. One of the best examples is his "Pipe Bomb" promo in the WWE, where he broke the 4th wall and addressed the various backstage issues in the WWE on WWE programming.

Wrestling Inc pointed out that Punk previously took aim at "Hangman" Adam Page, Kenny Omega, the Young Bucks, and Colt Cabana during last year's All Out press conference. This led to the "All Out Brawl" between Punk and members of The Elite, which included Omega and the Bucks.

AEW Security Reportedly Confiscating CM Punk Signs

The CM Punk firing has been very ugly so far, and it seems that AEW wants to move on and not have the Chicago native be mentioned, especially in Punk's hometown. Now, before AEW Collision went live, reports indicated that the company took some drastic measures.

According to Ringside News, Security personnel were reportedly going around the arena and confiscating any CM Punk signs before the show went live. However, this was expected following the rather sour parting between AEW and the infamous pro wrestler.

As Latin Post previously reported, CM Punk threatened to quit AEW before the company fired him. He reportedly had to be coaxed by his "All In" opponent, Samoa Joe, to even show up in his match at the Wembley Stadium in London.

As for "All Out," Punk was booked to face Ricky Starks in Chicago. That match is now canceled, with Starks facing off with Bryan Danielson (Daniel Bryan) at the PPV event instead.

Tony Khan Felt He Was Physically Threatened by CM Punk Before He Hired Him

CM Punk's dismissal from AEW was not just because of his fight with Jack Perry but also because of his altercation with Tony Khan. Reports indicated that "Khan felt physically threatened by Punk at All In during his attempt to get Punk refocused on the match," according to Sports Illustrated.

Khan was reportedly trying to reason with Punk but was not able to "effectively communicate or reason with" the controversial wrestler. Following the advice from the outside legal counsel he brought in to investigate, Khan ultimately made the decision to have CM Punk fired.

The sports magnate, who also owns the Jacksonville Jaguars NFL team, told the Chicago crowd before AEW Collision that his safety was in jeopardy during the Punk incident in London. He noted that he also felt that the other members of the AEW crew were also in danger and that he had never previously felt his life had been in danger at a wrestling show until he confronted CM Punk.
