A new rumor is going around the White House claiming that staff are treating President Joe Biden like a baby. However, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre is having none of it as she denied these rumors.

Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocey asked Karine Jean-Pierre regarding an upcoming book by The Atlantic's Franklin Foer, "The Last Politician: Inside Joe Biden's White House and the Struggle for America's Future."

"President Biden is the oldest president in U.S. history. Why does White House staff treat him like a baby?" he asked.

To this, Jean-Pierre responded, "No one treats the president of the United States, the commander in chief, like a baby. That's ridiculous. It's a ridiculous claim."

In the book, Foer claimed that Biden was fuming to his friends that "he was treated like a toddler" after appearing to call for regime change in Russia in March 2022. According to the book, Biden asked his friends, "Was John Kennedy ever babied like that?"

Karine Jean-Pierre merely dismissed these claims and noted that books inevitably get written about every administration with "a variety of claims."

"That is not unusual. That happens all the time. And we're not going to litigate those here. That's something that we're not going to speak to," said the White House press secretary before pointing out how the value of[Biden's experience and wisdom "resulted in rallying the free world against authoritarianism."

Joe Biden Awards Medal of Honor to Vietnam War Hero Who Helped Rescue U.S. Soldiers

As for the president, he recently awarded the military's highest decoration for service members who go above and beyond the call of duty, the Medal of Honor, to Capt. Larry Taylor on Tuesday. He risked his life during the Vietnam War by flying into heavy enemy fire to save four members of a reconnaissance team.

Taylor rescued the four U.S. soldiers as they were surrounded by the enemy and were about to be overrun. "It was pitch black. No moon. No stars. No light beyond the glow of Lieutenant Taylor's cockpit control, when he heard a whisper coming through his radio, 'We're surrounded,'" said the president as he talked about the war hero. "Lieutenant Taylor knew the risks, but he was ready."

He then awarded the medal to the now-81-year-old Tennessee native, with some of those he rescued being present, according to NBC News.
