As Donald Trump faces financial ruin in New York because of his civil fraud trial, he is also facing imprisonment over the classified documents case, which has several new revelations courtesy of several Mar-a-Lago employees who may be called to the witness stand.

In a report by CNN, federal prosecutors may call several Mar-a-Lago staffers and contract workers to testify against Donald Trump and his two co-defendants, Walt Nauta and Carlos De Oliveira. These include a plumber, a maid, a chauffeur, and a woodworker.

These are the types of workers rarely noticed by Mar-a-Lago's wealthy guests but are likely knowledgeable of Mar-a-Lago's inner workings as they work there each and every day, unlike the myriad of rich and powerful guests that frequent the Trump-owned Florida resort.

Sources with knowledge of Special Counsel Jack Smith's investigation also stated that prosecutors are also likely to call Trump Secret Service agents and former intelligence officials. Others who were in the room with the former president when he was captured on multiple audio recordings referencing a military document regarding potential plans to attack Iran may also be called in to testify.

However, the more low-level workers, regarded as the eyes and ears of Mar-a-Lago, may be the ones who will provide a different sort of insight as to what was going on in the resort as the former president tried to hide classified documents he illegally took after leaving office. The CNN report stated that some of these people are still employed at Mar-a-Lago.

A Florida woodworker reportedly told investigators that "He thinks he saw things, doesn't know what they were - he eventually told investigators he thought what he saw may be movie prop." These "things" are pieces of paper that he saw while installing crown molding in Trump's bedroom in February 2022.

Meanwhile, a maid who cleaned Trump's suite and a plumber who has worked on the Trump property for several years, as well as several other maintenance workers, are among the potential witnesses. Some of them might not be called to the stand, however, though the woodworker may be the one with the most significant account so far.

Former Watergate Prosecutor Says Donald Trump Is 'Toast' in His New York Fraud Trial

In New York, Trump is also facing several legal problems, including potentially losing his business license there, and a prosecutor who worked on Watergate thinks that the former president may be "toast."

"Basically at this point, Donald Trump is toast," said Nick Akerman, a former Watergate prosecutor in an interview. "I mean he is basically going to be found to be a liar by the judge."

This comes after Trump himself took to the witness stand and was very combative during his time there. "You've got contradictory testimony. You can use his assertion of the Fifth Amendment against him. To basically find that he's lying," the former prosecutor noted, "I just don't see how this judge, at the end of the day, is not gonna find with respect to Donald Trump 'liar, liar, pants on fire'."

Prosecutors Trying To Tie Donald Trump to January 6

Meanwhile, over in Washington DC, a new court filing by Special Counsel Jack Smith revealed that the pro-Trump rioters storming the Capitol in his name will be the centerpiece of the trial, which is set to begin on March 4, according to Politico.

Senior Assistant Special Counsel Molly Gaston stated that the criminal conspiracies that Trump helped spread "culminated and converged" on January 6, 2021, when he tried to stop Congress from formally declaring Joe Biden as the winner of the 2020 election.
