The often hilarious and meme-inspiring trial of actress and wellness guru Gwyneth Paltrow has now also inspired its own musical as London-based production company, The Pleasance & Awkward Productions, is actually making one.

This new musical is titled "Gwyneth Goes Skiing" and will be based on the highly-televised trial of Gwyneth Paltrow where she was sued by retired optometrist Terry Sanderson after she collided with him during a ski trip at the Deer Valley Resort in Park City, Utah in 2016.

According to CNN, the play is scheduled to debut at Pleasance London Main House Cabaret in London. Performances will be held from December 13 to December 23.

The musical has been described as "A story of love, betrayal, skiing, and (somehow) Christmas - where you are the jury!"

The play's synopsis reads, "She's the Goop-founding, Door-Sliding, Shakespeare-In-Loving, consciously-uncoupling Hollywood superstar. He's a retired Optometrist from Utah. In 2016, they went skiing."

"On the slopes of Deer Valley, their worlds collided, and so did they - literally. Ouch. Seven years later in 2023, they went to court. Double ouch," read the synopsis further. "This is their story. Kind of. Not really. But also, it's at Christmas."

The "Shakespeare in Love" actress and Goop founder will be played by Linus Karp, whose promotional photos show the actor holding a candle that reads, "This smells like a lawsuit."

Meanwhile, Joseph Martin plays the optometrist who Paltrow ran into, though he is listed as "The Other Guy" in the play.

The trial became infamous as it became a source of jokes for late-night TV and memes. She infamously won the lawsuit and told the man she ran into, Terry Sanderson, "I Wish you well" after winning.

Gwyneth Paltrow Says Only Robert Downey Jr. Can Bring Her Back Into Acting

As an actress, Gwyneth Paltrow says she is now retired. However, the Oscar-winner did have recent voice roles on "American Horror Stories" and "She Said" but has not acted in front of a camera in recent years. Her final movie was "Avengers: Endgame," where she plays Tony Stark's love interest and secretary, Pepper Potts.

However, Paltrow admitted in a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight that she will only come out of acting retirement if "Iron Man" costar Robert Downey Jr. asks her.

"Well, it would be very hard for me to do any acting right at the moment, just because of my job," she told ET. "But, I guess Robert Downey Jr. could probably always get me back. You know, to some degree."
