Actor Jamie Foxx has responded to accusations that he sexually assaulted a woman at a New York bar, and that accusation has led to a massive lawsuit. However, the Oscar winner has actually outright denied these allegations.

The accusation came as part of the flurry of sexual assault allegations that came this week as the New York Adult Survivors Act (ASA) is expiring on Friday, November 24. The New York law gave a one-year window for survivors of assault to come forward, regardless of when the assault took place.

One of the most infamous people hit by the law is former President Donald Trump who infamously lost his case against former Elle Magazine columnist E. Jean Carroll, who proved that Trump did sexually assault her inside a New York department store.

In the lawsuit, a Jane Doe accused Jamie Foxx, whose real name is Eric Marlon Bishop, of assaulting her at the Catch restaurant rooftop in New York City last August 2015. The actor has denied the allegation and vowed to issue a countersuit against his accuser.

A spokesperson for the actor told The Independent, "The alleged incident never happened. In 2020, this individual filed a nearly identical lawsuit in Brooklyn. That case was dismissed shortly thereafter. The claims are no more viable today than they were then. We are confident they will be dismissed again. And once they are, Mr Foxx intends to pursue a claim for malicious prosecution against this person and her attorneys for re-filing this frivolous action."

More Details About Jane Doe's Lawsuit Vs. Jamie Foxx Surface

The court filings for Jane Doe are now public and it showed that she is also suing the employees of the restaurant, as well as the co-founder of Catch Hospitality Group, Mark Birnbaum, as co-defendants. She also wants a trial by jury and she is seeking compensatory and punitive damages.

PEOPLE Magazine managed to get a copy of the court filing and it alleges that she "has suffered and continues to suffer physical and emotional injuries, anxiety, distress, embarrassment, and economic harm."

The lawsuit alleged that Foxx "seemed intoxicated" and told Jane Doe that she had the body of a supermodel and that she looked like Gabrielle Union. This was when he allegedly grabbed her by her arm and pulled her to the back area of the rooftop where the alleged rape occurred.

The filing also noted that she "attempted to step away from Foxx" and noticed a security guard, who allegedly "saw what was happening but walked further away."

Former Model Accuses Axl Rose of Rape in Another ASA-Related Lawsuit

Aside from Jamie Foxx, another woman is using the soon-to-expire ASA to sue former Guns N' Roses frontman Axl Rose of sexually assaulting her. The plaintiff is former Penthouse magazine model and actress Sheila Kennedy. She alleges that Rose "violently" sexually assaulted her in 1989 after they met at a New York City nightclub.

The complaint alleges that the rocker "used his fame, status, and power as a celebrity and performer in the music industry to gain access to manipulate, control, and violently sexually assault Kennedy" and that he "knocked her to the floor," before proceeding to sexually assault her "while he was in a sexual, volatile rage."
