CM Punk's WWE return might have thrilled fans, but not everybody was, particularly Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre, who both had very explosive reactions to the return. However, during a recent WWE House Show, both wrestlers indirectly referenced their actions during the ending of Survivor Series: WarGames.

When CM Punk came out, Seth Rollins was seen to be very irate and was trying to confront the former AEW champion. He had to be held back by several referees, as well as Michael Cole, Corey Graves, Sami Zayn, and Cody Rhodes. Meanwhile, Drew McIntyre looked very angry as he stormed out of the arena. The Scotsman was seen slamming doors as he left.

In the middle of the ring, Rollins asked fans at a Peoria House Show if the saw Survivor Series. However, he got "CM PUNK!" chants instead and this riled up the current WWE World Heavyweight champion, who has been vocal about his dislike of CM Punk ever since he left the WWE almost ten years ago.

"You already know how I feel about that. I said as much last night. I'm not gonna waste any more breath on somebody who's been gone for eight years, has done nothing but try to tear this place down. Instead, I want to take my time... talking about the people who've been here all along. That's everybody in the back who's made WWE the hottest ticket in town. And that's every single one of you who are here tonight in Peoria," he answered.

According to Cageside Seats, the Rollins promo came after the night's main event where he defended the title in Peoria, Illinois against Drew McIntyre and Shinsuke Nakamura, which he won.

Drew McIntyre Stormed Out of the Ring Before CM Punk Arrived

Meanwhile, McIntyre also indirectly addressed the incident with a promo saying, "I didn't win the World Title match recently - WarGames last night. My stupid team lost the match for me. You've heard things probably on the internet. Not in a great place, but there is one thing that can turn frown upside down, that can change things for me - it's getting that World Title. I can't think of anywhere better than for Big D to finally raise his first world title in front of live fans than right here in Peoria, Illinois. Cheap pop."

Videos from fans showed the Scotsman looking irate as he went out as soon as the match was over, avoiding the CM Punk return. A cameraman was seen gesturing to McIntyre that he was clear to go as well.

There are reports that McIntyre's and Rollins's reactions after the CM Punk returns were "works" and were done as a lead-up to feuds with the returning former WWE champion. However, conflicting reports also indicate that the two are genuinely unhappy with the real-life Phil Brooks coming back.

Seth Rollins Has Heated History With CM Punk

While Drew McIntyre's reaction to the CM Punk return was surprising, Seth Rollins' was not as the Iowa native has a history of feuding with Punk on social media following his abrupt WWE exit.

According to The Sportster, there had been plenty of back and forth between the two on the platform that was then called Twitter, with Rollins calling Punk a "Cancer." In a previous interview, he admitted he did not like Punk and said that he was a jerk.
