Neel Nanda, a talented US comedian of Indian descent, passed away shortly after marking his 32nd birthday, as confirmed by his manager of more than a decade, Greg Weiss, according to NDTV.

The exact date and cause of his death remain undisclosed, honoring the wishes of Nanda's family and girlfriend.

Weiss shared his sorrow with the media, describing Nanda not only as a remarkable comedian but also as a cherished friend and a wonderful human being.

The shocking news of Nanda's demise emerged just days after he celebrated his birthday headlining a comedy club in Toronto, where he also promoted a "birthday weekend" show at Jokers Theatre and Comedy Club on Instagram.

Neel Nanda Career

Born in Atlanta to Indian immigrant parents, Nanda made his debut on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" in 2017, showcasing his comedic prowess.

His comedic talent extended to Comedy Central, where he appeared on various shows, including "Adam Devine's House Party" and, most recently, "Comedy Central Stand-Up Presents" in January, per USA Today.

Beyond stand-up, Nanda ventured into producing and acting, earning credits in the internet comedy horror series "Garland: Anthology."

He also featured in the Snapchat original series "Apocalypse Goals" and starred in the 2019 comedy horror film "Deep Murder."

His journey in comedy began in Atlanta, where he started performing stand-up before making the move to Los Angeles in 2013.

In LA, he left his mark on various networks, including Comedy Central, MTV, Viceland, IFC, Hulu, and Amazon Prime.

His show, "Unnecessary Evil," in Los Angeles, earned recognition as one of LA Weekly's top 10 stand-up shows.

Matt Rife, in a tribute on Twitter, recalled Nanda as one of the nicest and hardest-working comedians, wishing him peace, ACCESS Online noted.

"RIP Neel Nanda. You were one of the nicest, hardest working comedians I've ever called a friend, and I hope you can be at peace, brother," Rife posted.

Mario Adrion, who recently performed with Nanda, posted a touching message on Instagram, expressing his heartbreak and gratitude for the positive impact Nanda had on his life. "Neel was a great comedian and always made an effort to lift up others around him- I am grateful I got to meet him.
