NBA 2K gamers were introduced to the Signature Skills in NBA 2K13, a new feature that gave individual players specific abilities according to their realistic style of play. The game started off with 31 different kinds skills before the game eventually trimmed it down to 30. This year's NBA2K14 will build from last year's success and we'll be seeing seven additional signature skills in the mix. Fansided.com provides a full list and description of these special features.

This year's Signature Skills apply to rebounding, setting screens, fast breaks, and, of course, a Signature Skill that is perfectly in line with this year's overall theme: LeBron James. LeBron not only has the cover photo, a gameplay trailer devoted to him, and a special bonus pack, but he has his own signature skill for fans who buy this bonus back. The skill will be called the "LeBron Coast to Coast," which is only available in the Pre-Order Bonus Exclusive.

Fansided.com describes the skill devoted especially to LeBron James. "Takes the ball coast to coast and finishes through contact. Speed, Quickness, and Ball-Handling attributes are boosted four points and the shot penalty enforced for hitting a defender is decreased when taking the ball coast to coast on a fastbreak following a change of possession," the website said.

The rebounding skill will allow gamers to have a 50 percent higher chance of grabbing a rebound, while the "Pick and Roll Maestro" skill will give a player a three-point boost in his shooting attribute and is more accurate.

The Signature Skills that were already in place with the 2K13 game included both offensive and defensive skills. This year's additional skills could help sculp each player into an even more realistic figure of the real-life athlete as the 2K series continues to improve credibility and steer away from the days when it was known as an arcade-style game.
