"19 Kids and Counting" star Michelle Duggar is speaking out against transgender people and a pending Fayetteville anti-discrimination ordinance that would protect the LGBT community in Duggar's hometown of Arkansas.

The Washington Post reports that Arkansas "is one of several dozen states with laws that do not currently address discrimination against LGBT or transgender individuals."

Fayetteville Flyer adds, a person currently living in Arkansas "can be fired for being gay or evicted for no other reason than being a transgender tenant."

If the Fayetteville ordinance is passed, members of the LGBT community would be defended and protected against discrimination, and landlords and business owners would be prosecuted for unjustly evicting or terminating someone because of sexual orientation.

Fayetteville Flyer was the first to report on Duggar's opposition to the anti-discrimination robocall that the 47-year-old mother of 19 issued to the families of Fayetteville, Arkansas.

In the robocall, Duggar disregards the Fayetteville ordinance's attempt to provide equality for the LGBT community. Instead, she insists that the ordinance will promote the perversion of child predators.

"Hello, this is Michelle Duggar. I'm calling to inform you of some shocking news that would affect the safety of Northwest Arkansas women and children," Duggar begins the robocall. " The Fayetteville City Council is voting on an ordinance this Tuesday night that would allow men -- yes I said men -- to use womens and girls restrooms, locker rooms, showers, sleeping areas and other areas that are designated for females only. I don't believe the citizens of Fayetteville would want males with past child predator convictions that claim they are female to have a legal right to enter private areas that are reserved for women and girls."

Duggar concludes her robocall by urging parents to "call 575-8330 and tell the Fayetteville City Council members and Mayor Jordan to vote 'no' on ordinance 119."
