Eric Bledsoe remains a free agent nearly two months before the 2014-15 NBA season starts, and there is growing speculation that the Phoenix Suns will eventually trade him this offseason.

Recent reports indicated that Bledsoe might accept a one-year, $3 million qualifying offer from the Suns, but Chuck Myron of Hoops Rumors is convinced that a trade is the most likely option for Phoenix, naming the Houston Rockets or Atlanta Hawks as the 24-year-old guard's possible destination.

Myron reported that the Suns have been looking for a taker for Bledsoe as proven by recent reports suggesting that Phoenix made a last-minute offer to the Minnesota Timberwolves for Kevin Love before the All-Star forward was eventually traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Suns offered a four-year, $48 million deal to Bledsoe earlier in the offseason, but the former Kentucky standout turned down the offer.

Bledsoe, who averaged 17.7 points to go along with 5.5 assists and 4.7 rebounds per game last season, is reportedly asking for a maximum five-year, $85 million deal, but the Suns are not willing to give into his demands.

The Suns are still interested in keeping Bledsoe, but they might be forced to trade the four-year veteran especially if he decides to accept the qualifying offer, which would make him an unrestricted free agent next summer.

Newly signed Isaiah Thomas is expected to take Bledsoe's spot should a trade is finalized, but the former Sacramento Kings point guard is still hoping that Bledsoe will eventually decide to stay in Phoenix.

"One thing that's good about it is that we're three different basketball players, three different guards; we're not all the same, we go about our ways differently, we play the game of basketball differently and we can complement each other in different ways. I'm just excited about it," Thomas said on Monday via Basketball Insiders.

Suns starting point guard Goran Dragic, last season's Most Improved Player, recently revealed that he has not talked to Bledsoe about his plan, but he is also hoping that the Birmingham, Alabama native will accept Phoenix's contract offer.

"We are waiting for his decision," Dragic said on Monday in a RealGM interview. "But I think he is a big part of this team. He was great last year and we played together well. I hope he will sign for the next year."
