After all the talk about two different iPhones being released at the same time, it might not even happen.

According to the New York Post, Apple might be selling the cheaper, more colorful iPhone 5C exclusively in China. It was initially reported that Apple would likely sell both the iPhone 5C and the iPhone 5S in the United States as a way to counteract the budget-friendly phone options already being offered by competitors.

The iPhone 5C was being mocked as many people said the C stood for cheap, but now it makes more sense for the C to possibly stand for China if the phone is indeed sold exclusively overseas.

"China is arguably the most important market for Apple right now as the company tries to regain share it has lost to low-cost manufacturers," Barclays wrote in a report.

It was learned this week that Apple just reached a deal with China Mobile, which is the largest phone company in the nation with 740 million users. With that many subscribers, the next iPhone is expected to do very well in China.

But despite this speculation, Apple has not confirmed where the iPhones will be sold and whether both will be sold simultaneously in any countries. The wait, however, is just about over. Apple will be unveiling the next iPhone in just a matter of days. The company is expected to focus heavily on the 5S in an effort to highlight the most eye-opening features first before moving down to talk about the budget-friendly option.
