Anderson Silva and Nick Diaz are expected to engage in an action-packed showdown at UFC 183 on Jan. 31 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, but Silva's manager, Ed Soares, is not expecting so much fireworks outside the Octagon.

Silva and Diaz are known for getting into their opponent's head through trash talking, but Soares said in an interview with Submission Radio that he expects both fighters to take a different approach in their upcoming showdown.

"I think he's prepared to deal with that, but I honestly believe that Nick Diaz is going to take a different approach," Soares said on Sunday when asked about Diaz's tendency to talk trash. "I don't think Nick Diaz has anything personal against Anderson Silva. I think Nick Diaz looks at Anderson Silva as a true, real martial art challenge and he believes he's got what it takes to be able to fight him."

Soares said that Silva has high respect for Diaz, which is the reason why he doesn't think there will be heated exchange of words heading into the fight.

"Most of the time, Nick doesn't start off with the trash talking," Soares said. "It's normally somebody else that starts off with the trash talking and he kind of finishes it off. But Nick Diaz overall, I don't see him much as a guy that starts off talking trash."

Silva has not fought since sustaining a gruesome leg injury during his rematch with Chris Weidman in December last year. Soares said that despite suffering from a huge setback, the former UFC middleweight champion is motivated to return strong, knowing that he still has goals that he needs to accomplish.

"I think that's going to be the biggest motivation, just seeing Anderson back to what he once was," Soares said. "I believe that there got a point in Anderson's career where maybe subconsciously he forgot what it was like not to be champ, and I think now he's kind of looking up at that hill realizing that he's got some more challenges to conquer."
