Real Madrid made big signings this summer, but star forward Cristiano Ronaldo is not too thrilled with the moves that they made during the transfer window.

In an interview during a commercial event on Monday, Ronaldo said that Real Madrid president Florentino Perez knows what is best for the team. But if he was in charge of the club, he insisted that he would have handled things differently.

"I have my very clear opinion, but I must calculate and I cannot always say what I think because tomorrow I will be on the front of the papers and I do not want that," Ronaldo said Monday via ESPN FC. "But if I was in charge, maybe I would not do things like that. Everyone has their opinion and is free to say what they think."

Real Madrid had a relatively successful year last season after winning their tenth UEFA Champions League trophy, but the club still decided to tweak their roster dramatically.

The Spanish club spent more than €110 million to acquire Toni Kroos, Keylor Navas and Colombian striker James Rodriguez, who had a stellar performance during the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

The big signings led to surprising exits of key players like Angel Di Maria, who moved to Manchester United via a record €75-million deal, and Xabi Alonso who transferred to Bayern Munich for €10 million.

Ronaldo admitted that the club will have to make major adjustments with the arrival of new players, and the club is clearly still out of sync, especially during their stunning 4-2 loss to Real Sociedad on Sunday.

"It will change," Ronaldo said of their style of play. "They are different players, it could change for the better or the worse. I hope it is for the better."

"Obviously Di Maria and Xabi are very important players, but we have others and we are happy with those who are here. I am sure that things will go well and the team will be at a very high level," the Portuguese striker added.

Real Madrid also acquired Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez on a one-year loan deal with Manchester United on Sunday, and Ronaldo expressed confidence that the Mexican striker is capable of playing a key role for the club this season.
