It's finally here. Apple unveiled two new iPhone models Tuesday sporting larger screens and host of new features that looks like it will live up to everyone's expectations.

Two Models - 4.7 inch and 5.5 inch

First things first, the iPhone 6 will come in two models: a 4.7-inch iPhone 6 and a 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus. The two are essentially the same phone in different sizes with one exception to the camera.

The iPhone 6 Plus features a more advanced optical image stabilization system compared to the iPhone 6's digital stabilization.

Preorders and Int'l Releases

Both iPhones will be available for pre-ordering in the United States September 12 through major carriers for a September 19 release date. Pricing starts at $199 with a two-year contract for the iPhone 6 and $299 with a contract for the iPhone 6 Plus. Canada, France, Hong Kong, Germany, Singapore, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Japan on September 19 as well. The iPhone 6 and 6 Plus will ship with iOS 8 pre-installed.

Resolution

The design retains the iPhone feel, but the smartphone has rounder edges than previous generations and is the first to show off Apple's new Retina HD display. The new screens allow for over one million pixels on the iPhone 6 and over two million pixels on the iPhone 6 Plus. As far as resolution goes, the iPhone 6 puts out more than 720p HD resolution with a 1334 X 750 setup for 326 pixels per inch. The iPhone 6 Plus delivers full 1080p HD with 1920 X 1080 pixels for 401 pixels per inch.

Battery Life

Despite the increased screen real estate, Apple promises that the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus have equal or better battery lives across the board compared to previous generations.

The new iPhones are also the thinnest ever, with even the larger iPhone 6 Plus beating out last year's iPhone 5s.

Apple has chosen to utilize screen space more, giving the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus more options in landscape mode. For instance, users will have more keyboard functions and can even use the Home screen on its side.

Apple A8 Chip

Powering the new iPhone 6 models is the new 20-nanometer A8 chip that packs a whopping 2 billion transistors. According to Apple, the new A8 chip has up to 25 percent faster processing power and up to 50 percent faster graphics.

This all adds up to the A8 being 50 times faster than the original iPhone in terms of processing and 84 times faster when it comes to graphics. A new M8 motion coprocessor and barometer can now estimate distances and altitudes, making it the center piece for a new slew of fitness-related apps that will interact with iOS 8's Health Kit.

Wireless Info.

The iPhone 6 and 6 Plus will also be able to connect to more networks than ever before. The new iPhones support 20 LTE bands, the most of any smartphone in the world, and Apple is working with 200 carriers worldwide to show off the LTE technology in the iPhones that is capable of speeds up to 150Mbps.

Apple is also giving users Wi-Fi calling that will seamlessly transfer over to a cellular signal when out of range, although only through T-Mobile in the United States, and VoLTE.

Camera-wise, the new iPhones look impressive. Both models come with an 8-megapixel iSight camera with new sensors that allow the shooter to focus twice as fast compared to older variants and take panoramas with up to 43 megapixels. Videophiles will be able to shoot 1080p at 60fps with the new iPhones and can take impressive slow-motion clips at up to 240fps. All of this comes with improved face detection and stabilization.
