San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick was fined $11,025 for using inappropriate language during the team's 28-20 loss to the Chicago Bears on Sunday.

The National Football League cited the incident where side judge Laird Hayes threw a yellow flag for unsportsmanlike conduct, pointing out that Kaepernick used foul language during an altercation with Bears defensive lineman Lamarr Houston.

The 26-year-old quarterback believes that the decision will be overturned, reiterating that even Houston said that he did not hear anything.

"The player that I supposedly said something to has been quoted saying that I didn't say anything, and I don't know him, so it's not like he would have a reason to just randomly stick up for me," Kaepernick said.

Kaepernick maintained that he did not say anything bad during the heated argument, saying that he will file an appeal to clear his name.

"It will be appealed," Kaepernick said via USA Today. "I didn't say anything. Lamarr Houston said I didn't say anything. We're going to leave it at that."

San Francisco coach Jim Harbaugh declined to comment on the fine, but the 50-year-old expressed support to Kaepernick, saying that thinks the fourth-year quarterback is telling the truth.

"Colin says he didn't say anything, this person says what they say and somebody else heard something else," Harbaugh said. "I don't have a stance. You can only imagine. I don't have a stance because I don't know, I didn't hear it. Colin's always been truthful 100 percent of the time."

Harbaugh also said that the 49ers and Kaepernick should move on from the incident and bounce back from their disappointing loss to the Bears where they allowed three touchdowns in the fourth quarter.

"We all understand we're in the bouncing back business. That's part of our job description," Harbaugh said. "Nobody does it better than our team. Tough loss, fortunately we're a tough team."

The 49ers will face the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
