Chris Brown is normally about 180 pounds, but after being released from jail, he was about 215.

The 108 days spent in prison made him gain weight.

"I couldn't fit in my jeans, fit in my clothes," he said, according to ExtraTV. "I was scared to go out, I was like man, people will see me and I look fat so after a while I went and played a lot of basketball, a lot of cardio, we did the New Flame video, BET Awards, a couple of other shows, I was always dancing, always dancing, trying to get my body back."

Brown has been working to improve his image, and he has been very honest about the steps he is taking to get better.

He explained that he didn't want to go to a therapist at first but that he has opened up to the experience, which he has learned a lot from. He now goes two times a week.

"For me, it was more of an opportunity for me to understand my feelings and understand what I was dealing with in my own life. ... At a time I didn't know how to put those feelings and understand what I was dealing with in my own life," he said. "I didn't know how to say it, I didn't know how to express myself without it being anger or aggression because I felt a certain way, but now it's more of me being able to control it and understand it."

Brown recently offered advice to Ray Rice and others in similar situations. He said that the important thing is what the person does next. At the time, he said that his therapist has helped him realize what appropriate reactions are for his anger.

He added that he was not one to judge someone for the mistakes they have made.
