Singer Keyshia Cole was arrested on Friday after she allegedly assaulted another woman at the residence of rapper and Cash Money Records co-founder Birdman. Cole was subsequently released on bail.

Cole arrived at Birdman’s West Los Angeles condo at around 5 a.m. wanting to see Birdman, her rumored boyfriend, according to TMZ, which broke the story. However, she became incensed when she discovered another woman in the house. She promptly physically attacked her, and the police were called.

The singer was arrested after leaving various scratches and wounds on the other woman’s face.

According to E! News, police arrived at around 5:20 a.m., which is when Cole was arrested. She was charged with battery and an outstanding reckles driving warrant.

She was released at 12:25 p.m. after paying $46,000 in bail. Cole paid $20,000 for one count and $26,000 for the other.

Soon after her release, Cole took to Instagram where she uploaded a photo of her and her dog as well as quotes hinting at trouble in her relationship between her and Birdman.

She captioned the last image with “Fake. Just Fake.” However, Cole may have been wrong in insinuating that the woman she saw at Birdman’s condo in any way intimate with him.

TMZ has identified the woman attacked by Cole as Sabrina Mercadel. She has worked for Cash Money Records for more than a decade and has been friends with Birdman since they were young.

According to TMZ’s sources, Mercadel was at Birdman’s house with other people when Cole stormed in. She was coming out of the bathroom when Cole attacked her, screaming, “What are you doing with my man!?”

The sources told the gossip site Mercadel is in no way in an intimate relationship with Birdman.

Cole, on the other hand, remains married to NBA player Daniel Gibson, from whom she separated in March.
