Miley Cyrus is now offering to design a custom tattoo for $10,000 to raise awareness and money for homeless youth in Los Angeles.

The budding visual artist has teamed up with My Friend's Place, an organization that "assists and inspires homeless youth to build self-sufficient lives," for the past few months. She initially drew attention to the cause, when a young man named Jesse appeared on stage at this year's MTV VMAs to receive the Video of the Year award instead of her.

Jesse then gave an acceptance speech: "I am accepting this award on behalf of the 1.6 million runaways and homeless youth in the United States who are starving, lost and scared for their lives right now. I know this because I'm one of these people. I have survived in shelters all over the city."

"If you want to make powerful change in the world right now, please join us and go to Miley's Facebook page. A dream you dream alone is only a dream, but a dream you dream together is reality," he added.

Cyrus' involvement continues as she is currently holding a contest to benefit the resource center, giving away prizes like a hoodie, a t-shirt, a voicemail from her, temporary tattoos, as well as a real custom tattoo. The person who donates $10 grand "will receive a tattoo custom designed by Miley."

Although she has had experience tattooing someone else, as she inked a smiley face on her longtime assistant Cheyne Thomas in July, the professionals will be doing the actual work on the prizewinner.
