Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti played down talks that they are willing to let Cristiano Ronaldo return to Manchester United, reiterating that the club has no plans to part ways with the star forward.

Previous reports indicated that Ronaldo was frustrated with the moves that Real Madrid made this summer, creating speculation that he wants out, but Ancelotti insisted that the Portugal international is happy at Real Madrid.

"Cristiano is happy here, very motivated to be here, and all madridismo is delighted with him. So these are nonsense," Ancelotti said of the reports linking Ronaldo to his old club.

Ronaldo is off to a great start this season, scoring nine goals in four Spanish La Liga games. Ancelotti expects Ronaldo to stay as one of the best players in the world, and that he will help Real Madrid win more trophies in the years to come.

"He is the best player in the world, without doubt, and has been for a long time," Ancelotti said of Ronaldo. "He has been showing great professionalism, character and leadership. We must enjoy him and do everything to keep him in this physical and mental condition -- as he will help us to win trophies."

Ronaldo also said in a recent interview with Goal.com that he intends to finish his contract with Real Madrid that runs until 2018, while also denying reports that he is unhappy at Bernabeu.

"I'll be here five more years," Ronaldo said. "I just want to win trophies for this club. I will be honest with you -- everyone knows I was in Manchester for six years, but Manchester is in the past. Now my club is Real Madrid. This is my home, my family is here and I'm really happy here."

But in the same report, a source close to the situation said that Ronaldo has been talking about Manchester United a lot, and is considering finishing his career at Old Trafford, where he reportedly enjoyed the happiest years of his career from 2003 to 2009 before the £80m to Real Madrid.

"Cristiano talks about United all the time," the sources said. "The club had a difficult time last season, but he expects them to return to the top very soon. He is seduced by the idea of finishing his career at Old Trafford. He has great memories -- it was his happiest time as a footballer."
