Paramount has unveiled the final trailer to "Interstellar" with hopes of making it a huge hit at the box office.

The latest movie by Christopher Nolan is highly-anticipated and is expected to be a huge hit. Boxoffice.com is already tracking the film will open with $79 million and potentially end north of $300 million by the end of its run. That would be an impressive for an original science fiction film.

While these types of films tend to be tricky to predict, Nolan has generated a huge following in the past 10 years, especially after "The Dark Knight." In 2008, Nolan broke the opening weekend record with "The Dark Knight," which went on to become the second-highest grossing film of all time. He later had success in 2012 with "The Dark Knight Rises" which made over $400 million.

Nolan also proved he could sell movies no matter if they are part of a series or an original project. For instance, back in 2006, his mid-sized budget film "The Prestige" opened at No.1 and eventually made $53 million.

Later in 2010, Nolan's "Inception" was the hit of the season as it made over $60 million on its opening weekend and eventually went on to gross $292 million. That is almost unheard of for an original concept film in the science fiction genre. "Memento" and "Insomnia," two other Nolan films, also proved to be hits in their own right.

"Interstellar" can also count on an aggressive marketing campaign from Paramount, especially since the company has already release three trailers and a number of different posters emphasizing the many aspects of the film.

Another reason why the film will most likely be a hit is the awards buzz surrounding it. Pundits are declaring it the special effects film of the year, and based on the trailers, it is very likely the film that will be taking home all the technical awards just like "Gravity," "Hugo," "Life of Pi" and "Inception" did in prior years.

Additionally, if "Interstellar" lives up to the buzz, this film may get nominated for Best Picture and it could potentially bring other audiences who usually wouldn't see this type of film.

The film also has the advantage of a star-studded cast. While Matthew McConaughey hasn't really led a box office hit in the past few years, he is more popular than ever, especially after having won an Oscar and having starred in the popular show "True Detective." McConaughey fans have not seen the actor in this type of film and they'll definitely turn up.

The movie also stars Anne Hathaway, who is also very popular, and Jessica Chastain, who has led two box office hits in the past two years. Nolan also has a star-studded cast including Casey Affleck, Michael Caine, Wes Bentley, Topher Grace and John Lithgow.

The one place Nolan may have a hard time is in the running time, as "Interstellar" currently clocks in at 169 minutes long. However, the director's previous films have all been quite long, and since it is only four minutes longer than "The Dark Knight Rises," this should be no big deal.

"Interstellar" opens on Nov. 7 and tells the story of a group of explorers who make use of a newly-discovered wormhole to surpass the limitations on human space travel and conquer the vast distances involved in an interstellar voyage.
