The Denver Broncos and San Francisco 49ers are scheduled to play each other in Week 7 on Sunday at 8:30 p.m. EST on NBC.

Both the 49ers and Broncos are highly regarded as two of the best teams in the NFL, and many people believe this will be the Super Bowl match-up this very season. There's no doubt about it, Sunday Night Football is the "game of the week" for Week 7:

Denver Broncos

The Broncos are currently 4-1, mostly because of quarterback Peyton Manning. Manning is having another great season, so far with 15 touchdowns and three interceptions. Manning is also just three touchdowns away from surpassing Brett Favre for most career touchdown passes in NFL history.

John Elway spent a lot of money on defense during the offseason. The Broncos added key players such as Aqib Talib, T.J. Ward and DeMarcus Ware. Thanks to these additions, and Von Miller's excellent play, the Broncos defense ranks 4th overall in the league. Miller and Ware have a combined 10 sacks this season so far.

The only loss this season for the Broncos came to the Seattle Seahawks in Seattle in overtime during Week 3.

The biggest issue for the Broncos is their running game. Without Knowshon Moreno, Montee Ball is hurting and struggling. Ronnie Hillman will most likely get most of the carries on Sunday, but as a team, the Broncos have just two rushing touchdowns all season.

Demaryius Thomas, Julius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders have been a lethal trio for Manning to throw to this season.

The Broncos defeated the 49ers 34-0 in the preseason earlier this year.

San Francisco 49ers

The 49ers are currently 4-2, with wins in their last three consecutive games. After a slow 1-2 start, it appears as if Jim Harbaugh and Colin Kaepernick have figured things out. After this game, the 49ers will get a bye week.

Kaepernick has been on a hot streak lately with seven touchdowns and one interceptions in the last four games. Running back Frank Gore continues to prove that age is just a number. The 31-year-old running back has a team leading 403 rushing yards so far, and has eclipsed 100 yards in two of his last three games.

Anquan Boldin, Michael Crabtree and Vernon Davis are Kaepernick's favorite targets. Even Brandon Lloyd has now become a reliable deep threat.

Unfortunately for the 49ers, they are dealing with a lot of injuries and suspensions on defense. Patrick Willis and NaVorro Bowman will both miss Sunday's game because of injuries. Aldon Smith is still serving his nine-game suspension. Willis leads the 49ers in tackles this season.

Still, the 49ers defense ranks No. 2 overall in the league only behind the Detroit Lions. Safety Antoine Bethea has proven to be a great addition.

Schedule, Where to Watch

The Denver Broncos and San Francisco 49ers are scheduled to play each other in Week 7 on Sunday, Oct. 19 at 8:30 p.m. EST on NBC. The game will be played at Mile High Stadium in Denver, Colorado. Live game stream can be found at NFL.com.

Predictions

Both the 49ers and Broncos are elite teams. Both teams have Super Bowl expectations. Both teams have made it to a Super Bowl in the last two seasons. Having said that, the Broncos will win because Peyton Manning will simply outplay Colin Kaepernick and home-field advantage will be the x-factor. Injuries and missing players to the 49ers defense will also play a factor.

Broncos win 31-24
