Reality-TV star Jon Gosselin was recently evicted from his home after he was unable to pay rent, E! News reports.

The father-of-eight has allegedly gone broke and now has no means of housing his children, claims an E! News source.

"The saddest part of it is he now has nowhere to take the kids," says the source. "He's not allowed at the house, so he was taking them to his old apartment. But the new one is too small for eight children. It's heartbreaking."

Gosselin's lack of financial stability follows his challenge with finding work and maintaining a job.

According to Us Weekly, Gosselin revealed to Entertainment Tonight last year that it was "next to nearly impossible to find work" following his departure from TLC's "Jon & Kate Plus 8" reality show.

Since his exit from the show, Us Weekly reports that Gosselin has worked as a waiter at a local restaurant in Pennsylvania and E! News claims that Gosselin had a job with an undisclosed credit card company that eventually "didn't pan out."

Gosselin is desperately seeking money to support himself and his children. He has allegedly gone as far as asking friends and family for money but no one has agreed to help him for fear that he would not pay them back, E! News reports.

Prior to the news of Gosselin's eviction, there were reports of Gosselin's disapproval towards his ex-wife Kate Gosselin's decision to put their children back on reality-TV with the new TLC series, "Kate Plus 8."

Despite Jon's disapproval, Kate went forward with the show that she claims is her only source of income, according to RadarOnline.

"She loves doing TV and it's basically her only source of income," said a RadarOnline source. "The twins will be going off to college in five years and then she has six more to put through, so she desperately needs these TLC specials."
