Aldo Sarabia Garcia's wife and her lover have been arrested in connection to his death.

In a press conference, the deputy attorney general said that Alma Delia Chavez Guerrero and Yahir Alfredo Sandoval Estrada planned his murder with forethought and malice, notes El Universal.

Garcia's body was found almost two miles from Cofradia in Mexico, and Estrada was the one who told the police where the body was.

Estrada explained that he met Garcia's wife four months ago. She was visiting a cousin, and he worked at a convenience store as a butcher. The two met in hotel rooms, and about a month and a half ago, she told him about the problems she was having with her husband.

Garcia had told his wife that he was going to be home later on Oct. 13, which is when she and Estrada planned to commit the crime. She was going to take him to a seafood restaurant, but before meeting up with Garcia, Estrada climbed into the back part of the car and hid with a 9 millimeter gun. He had purchased the gun with money that Garcia's wife gave him, Estrada explained.

When Garcia entered the car, he gave his wife a bouquet of roses, and eventually, Estrada shot him in the neck.

Estrada and Guerrero had equipment to dig a hole and bury the body. After that, they went to a hotel room to get rid of the bloodstains, and then they went to another hotel to sleep.

Prosecutors are working to charge Estrada with premeditated homicide, where he could face 22 to 50 years in prison. Guerrero could be charged with murder, and she could face 30 to 50 years in prison.

Garcia's bandmate, Poncho Lizarraga, said that he had no idea there were problems between Garcia and his wife. Although he hasn't talked to Garcia's children yet, he said that the band will support the children in anyway they can. He also took the opportunity to deny that Estrada was in Banda El Recodo.
