During a recent interview with USA Today, "Twilight" actress Kristen Stewart revealed her plans to "take time off" from acting and "focus on other forms of art" she wishes to create.

"I'm taking some time off because I've been working for two years," the 24-year-old actress said. "I'm an actor, and that's my art form, and because I started that so young, I've always felt intimidated and insufficient when I think about other forms of art I want to create."

Us weekly reports that Stewart landed her first starring role in "Catch That Kid" and later went on to play her most noted role as Bella Swan in the "Twilight" saga film series.

Since appearing on "Twilight," Stewart has gone on to appear in several other films and made headlines for her high profile relationship and breakup to her "Twilight" co-star, Robert Pattinson.

Now that the "Twilight" series has ended and Stewart has additional acting credits under her belt, she plans to take "so much time off" to "create with her hands."

"I'm going to buy a live-work space in downtown LA, and I'm going to make some [stuff] with my hands. Literally, I made that decision a few weeks ago," she said. "I'm making a short film. I'm making a bunch of stuff. I don't know how I'll put it out. But I'm not going to hold it so preciously close to me. I write all the time."

Stewart also added that she will enjoy the isolation away from the public eye as she creates because "it gives me the opportunity to do what I love."

Though she admits that her new plans to create will be difficult, she looks forward to executing those plans because she loves "hard work."

As Stewart takes the time off from acting, fans can still see the soon-to-be former actress in a number of upcoming films that have not yet hit theaters including "Still Alice," "Clouds of Sils Maria" and "American Ultra," The Guardian reports.
