Hillary Clinton knows a thing or two about being around U.S. presidents after spending two terms as the nation's first lady and another as secretary of state under Barack Obama.

That is precisely why Hillary seized a rare opportunity to poke fun and compare the two leaders when Former President Clinton and current President Obama met in a joint appearance this week at the Clinton Global Initiative in New York.

Calling the two "Number 42" and "Number 44" in reference to their respective place on the list of presidents, Clinton listed off a number of things the two have in common, but none better than the last one as she topped it off with a compliment to the current first lady, Michelle.

  • "They are both left-handed," she started off by saying. She then proceeded to list off all the similarities she could think of as her way of introducing the two.
  • "They both love golf, a game that does not often reciprocate the love they put into it."
  • "They both are fanatic sports fans and go to great lengths to be in front of the TV or on the side of the court or the field. "
  • "They both are master politicians."
  • "Each of them has only lost one election."
  • "They are both Democrats."
  • "They have fabulous daughters."
  • "They each married far above themselves."

Although Hillary called her husband 42 and Obama 44, everyone still wonders whether she will someday be able to call herself number 45. Although she has remained quiet about a potential presidential run, the speculation continues to circulate. There were times when Hillary would deny the thought of running again, but that has stopped. Even her husband said in an interview with CNN that he is not sure what Hillary will do.

"(It is) a long way ahead," he said." I think she would be the first to tell you that there is no such thing as a done deal, ever, by anybody. But I don't know what she's going to do."
