As more details have been released, it seemed likely that Aldo Sarabia Garcia's wife and her lover planned to kill the Banda El Recodo musician.

But now Alma Delia Chavez Guerrero's lover, Yahir Alfredo Sandoval Estrada, has come out to say that he shot Garcia accidentally. Estrada said that on the day that he and Guerrero picked up Garcia, they only planned to talk to him about a divorce, notes La Opinion.

Estrada said that Garcia's wife drove the car as she told Garcia that she wanted a divorce. The trumpeter didn't take the news well, Estrada said, and he began to struggle with his wife. Guerrero got out of the car.

Estrada said that the two continued to drive without Guerrero, and they eventually started to fight as well. And that's when he accidentally shot Garcia, Estrada said.

The suspect said that he then buried Garcia's body, and returned for Guerrero. Estrada said he told Guerrero that Garcia's had left to be with her friends.

Garcia was reported as missing on Oct. 14, and his body was found more than a week later.

"The wife was full of resentment," said state prosecutor Marco Antonio Higuera.

Garcia worked hard. He would perform at back-to-back concerts, leaving his wife to take care of their children. He would be gone from Thursday to Sundays on many occasions.

Their relationship is described as one where the two were basically living separately, but they communicated constantly.

Garcia's brother, Victor Sarabia, has come out to talk about the relationship his brother had with Guerrero.

"Aldo couldn't handle it anymore," he said. "He was afraid something like this would happen. He felt threatened. I can't remember very much what he said because it was several things."

And one of Garcia's sons, Ernesto Sarabia, didn't know what to say. He just said that he thought there was a lot of misinformation that was being spread.
