The United States and Costa Rica square off in the 2014 CONCACAF final on Sunday.

Both teams were a perfect 3-0 in group play, and advanced past the semifinals with a victory. Because this game is the final, both the United States and Costa Rica are fully guaranteed a spot in the 2015 FIFA World Cup. The top three finishers from this tournament are granted that privilege along with Canada, the host nation.

These two soccer nations have a bit of recent history between each other. In 2013, they played the famous "snow game" in San Jose, Costa Rica. Clint Dempsey scored the only goal in a 1-0 USA victory.

Latin Post previews this match-up and predicts who will come out on top:

United States

The United States won Group A with wins over Guatemala, Haiti and Trinidad and Tobago. With an unblemished 3-0 record, the United States women played Mexico in the semifinals. The United States again showed dominance by defeating Mexico 3-0. Amazingly, the USA Women have not allowed a single goal this entire competition thus far.

Goalkeeper Hope Solo has been perfect between the pipes, and her defense has been even better. Christie Rampone leads the defensive unit with Becky Sauerbrunn. Offensively, most eyes are on Abby Wambach, who has been playing great, but Carli Lloyd has been terrific as well. Lloyd scored two of the three goals against Mexico and paired with Kelly O'Hara, this team has a powerful middle field.

This team is ranked No. 1 in the FIFA world rankings, and they're showing everyone why. Head coach Jillian Ellis has this team ready to go for the 2015 World Cup.

Costa Rica

The Women's Costa Rican National Team is ranked No. 40 in the world. Head coach Garabet Avedissian has led this proud soccer nation to their first-ever Women's World Cup because of their play. But, there is still work to be done. Although Costa Rica has secured a spot in the big tournament, they would love nothing more than to show the world they can beat the United States in the finals.

Costa Rica won Group B with a 3-0 record with wins against Mexico, Jamaica and Martinique. Similar to the United States, defense has been the key to success. Costa Rica allowed to just two goals in their group games, and one goal in their semifinals game against Trinidad and Tobago. Forward Carolina Venegas has been outstanding this tournament for Costa Rica. The young 23-year-old scored the only goal in a 1-0 win against Mexico, two goals against Martinique and another goal against Trinidad and Tobago.

It's going to be a very difficult to penetrate the United States defense and score against Solo, but this team has the firepower to do it. Gloriana Villalobos (just 15 years old) will also be playing in this game. Raquel Rodriguez Cedeno has three goals so far in this tournament.

Schedule, Where to Watch

The United States and Costa Rica will play each other in the 2014 CONCACAF final game at 6 p.m. EDT on Sunday, Oct. 26 . The game will be played at the PPL Soccer Stadium in Chester, Pennsylvania and will be shown on FOX SPORTS 1. Live game stream can be viewed here.

Predictions

Both teams have a perfect 4-0 record so far, and they're trying to prove who the best CONCACAF team is. Costa Rica's offense is great, but the United States defense is just too much to overcome. Goalkeeper Hope Solo is reliable when needed and America's offense should take care of business. Costa Rica should be able to break the United States' shutout streak. There's a good chance we could see these teams face off again in the 2015 FIFA World Cup.

USA wins 3-1
