iOS hacker iH8sn0w has posted a new video on his YouTube channel showing an iPad 3 allegedly operating an untethered iOS 8.1.1 jailbreak. This is big news because 8.1.1 was said to have patched three of the Pangu team's exploits, effectively making the latest jailbreak useless, reports iDownloadBlog.

It's worth noting that iH8sn0w has demonstrated jailbreaks in the past that never came to be. Just because we are shown a firmware can be jailbroken doesn't mean it will result in an immediate public release.

"Been working on this since last Friday with @XanderKitteh," iH8sn0w said in his YouTube video caption. "This uses some new research between the two of us." He also mentions the jailbreak is presently limited to 30-pin iOS devices.

According to iDownloadBlog, you can still install iOS 8.1 and jailbreak. Once Apple closes the iOS 8.1 window you will not be able to upgrade or downgrade -- you'll be forced to use iOS 8.1.1 and your device's jailbreaking days are over.

But wait -- 9 & 10 News reports that an iOS 8.1 jailbreak tool can jailbreak Windows and Mac using the latest iOS 8.1.1 firmware version.

According to 9 & 10 News, you can use Unlock-Jailbreak.net's tutorial to jailbreak iOS 8.1 or iOS 8.0.2 on any iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. The news team has tested the jailbreak and verifies that it works on these devices:
