The "Prometheus" sequel is back, and director Ridley Scott is spilling some of the proverbial alien juices. Amidst speculation and confirmations for months about "Prometheus 2," Scott revealed some of what the sequel will involve.

While promoting his latest work "Exodus: Gods and Kings," Scott, director of "Prometheus," "Prometheus 2" and the "Blade Runner" reboot, revealed more about his science-fiction treasure. Audiences saw the creature that looked alien-like at the end of "Prometheus," as well as in the iconic "Alien" franchise. Scott said that those "xenomorphs" might not be featured in the sequel, IGN reported. Scott said he hopes to bring in a new type of creature.

"With 'Prometheus 2' what I'm trying to do is re-introduce a fresher form of alien in the third act," Scott said.

The original "Alien" did have dragon-like creatures, which were "the scariest monsters in film history," Den of Geek reported. The "Prometheus" "baby" alien was "awfully close to the alien," Scott said, referencing to what tormented Sigourney Weaver's Ripley. He said he wants the next one to be different.

As for the rumor that Noomi Rapace's character Elizabeth Shaw would be on a new journey, Scott has new plans in mind, Film reported.

Here are the five things we know so far about the sequel:

1. It has been reported that Rapace and Michael Fassbender will be in "Prometheus 2."

2. Michael Green, writer for the "Green Lantern" and the "Blade Runner" reboot, and Scott will both be penning the script for "Prometheus 2."

3. Fassbender, who played a robot named David, might portray multiple robots in the sequel.

4. There is a possible time-travel element involved that could see some of the characters from the "Alien" franchise making an appearance.

5. With Scott now promoting "Exodus: Gods and Kings" and a new film project starring Matt Damon titled "The Martian," the release date for "Prometheus 2" could be within a year or two from now.

As of now, there is still no word on whether or not Weaver will reprise her role.
