We are now less than two months away from the release of the two highly-anticipated next gen gaming consoles: the PS4 and the Xbox One. Let's take a look at some of the breaking news surrounding the PS4.

Everyone who has been following the next gen gaming console saga this past summer is well aware of the fact that PS4 endeared itself to gamers early on, while the Xbox One fumbled out the gates. That perception was upheld by a recent poll that measured the popularity of the two systems.

Respondents were given a list of gaming devices and asked, "Which of the following, if any, would you be interested in purchasing?" The Playstation 4 came out on top, with 26 percent of respondents stating that they would be interested in purchasing it. By comparison, the Xbox One only garnered 15 percent of the vote.

One thing both the PS4 and the Xbox One can agree on is that they both need to hop on the gravy train that is Grand Theft Auto V. Though there has been no official word yet on its availability on next gen consoles, there has been plenty of speculation over GTA V.

"In addition to the PC release, the PS4 release seems to make sense for Rockstar too. The GTA V team at Rockstar works on an astonishing budget of $265 million for both development and marketing. Making 'Grand Theft Auto V' the most expensive video game ever produced," reports the Latin Times.

Lastly for the PS4 is the possibility of it coming with a bundle that would include the highly-touted PS Vita. Again, though there is no word, there has been plenty of water cooler discussion, which has even extended to Sony's higher ups.

"We're still in the planning phase so it's not a yes, it's not a no," said Sony Computer Entertainment UK exec Fergal Gara. "And the option is still there to pick up the two of them. We'll make it happen in the ways that are best for our retail partners really and we'll work with them. The concept is becoming more real by the week."

The Playstation 4 will make its U.S. debut on November 15th and will hit shelves in Europe two weeks later on November 29th. It's slated to cost £349 / €399 / $399.
