While promoting his new album "Monuments to an Elegy" on HuffPost Live, Smashing Pumpkins frontrunner Billy Corgan also discussed his tumultuous relationship with singer/songwriter Courtney Love.

The two are famously known for their on-again off-again relationship, but Corgan revealed that he and Love are cordial despite their strained relationship.

"I love and accept her. It doesn't mean I like everything she say and does, nor do I want to spend a year with her in an elevator," he explained. "We connected very deeply, and once it spun off and where we spun off -- we've never had that same relationship again."

Love and Corgan reportedly first began dating prior to Love's marriage to late Nirvana frontrunner Kurt Cobain. After Cobain's death, the two dated again and later split for a second time. Following the split, Corgan went on to marry artist Chris Fabian from 1993 to 1997.

In a separate interview with Howard Stern, Corgan described Love as "smokin' hot" when they first met, adding that their sex life was "mythical." However, Corgan later slammed Love and described her as the "least loyal person I've ever known in my life," the Sydney Morning Herald reports.

Following his Howard Stern interview, Corgan posted a tweet to address his candidness on the Howard stern show.

Love has yet to respond to Corgan's comments about her and their love life. However, the 50-year-old singer did post a tweet on Tuesday to reveal her opinion on the infamous Sony email hack.
