Katie Holmes and her ex-husband Tom Cruise have decided to spend the holidays together for the sake of their 8-year-old daughter, Suri Cruise, the Sun via the Record repored.

"Katie wants to spend Christmas with her own family but has to put Suri first and will do everything in her power to make her happy," the Sun source said.

Holmes and Cruise ended their marriage back in 2012 with Holmes taking custody of Suri.

But now that some time has passed, Holmes is looking to re-establish Suri's relationship with her father all while making sure she and her daughter are not influenced by Cruise's scientology belief system.

In order to ensure that Suri does not take an interest in Scientology, Holmes will allegedly invite Cruise over to her home instead of visiting him at his house.

"Katie will set foot in Tom's home or be in the same room as the rest of his family because they are all so involved with the Scientology movement," the Sun source said.

Back in July, Holmes revealed to Glamour becoming a mother was her "greatest gift."

"I am really focused on motherhood and work right now," Holmes said. "Motherhood is the greatest gift. When I became a mother, my life completely changed."

When asked to name her biggest change since becoming a mother, Holmes said, "I didn't know how much love I had in me. It's overwhelming. Every day I discover more about this spectacular human being I get to be the mother of."

In addition to enjoying and focusing on motherhood, Holmes is continuing to work on her acting career. The Inquisitr reported the 36-year-old actress is set to star in the upcoming films, "Mania Days" and "The Woman in Gold."
