With just a week before the start of the 2013-14 NBA season, the teams are already working overtime to make sure that their players are at their utmost come game time. How will teams fair at opening night? Here's a preview of what to expect.

This year's season will kick off on October 29, with six team meeting up for the first time in a bid to pave their own paths towards a Larry O'Brien trophy. With newly acquired players and even new coaching staffs, this season is already seen to be a hit to all basketball fans. Moreover, with injured players suiting up for the first time since missing games last season, we're pretty sure opening night will be one for the books.

Orlando Magic vs. Indiana Pacers

Orlando had one of its worst seasons last year, falling at the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings with 20-61. The team has suffered greatly since All Star center Dwight Howard decided to leave the Magic before the start of last season; seeking greener pastures in Los Angeles (and we all know what happened to him in L.A.). But that's already a thing of the past, and the team is looking to reform its strategy as it looks forward - acquiring second-overall pick Victor Oladipo in an aim to develop young talent.

The Pacers, on the other hand, had an impressive run last year, spearheaded by its veterans Paul George, Roy Hibbert and Danny Granger. Securing a berth in the 2013 Playoffs, IND won against the Atlanta Hawks and the New York Knicks to make it to the semifinals. However, LeBron James and his crew stopped the stretch of the Pacers, winning a nail-biting Game 7 to move on to the Finals.

This year the team looks to make another run, with a goal to finally beat the odds and make it to the big dance. With an almost intact roster from last season - D.J. Augustine signed by Toronto Raptors - the team looks strong enough to snatch a Playoffs birth again; especially with the addition of standout Luis Scola.

The Orlando Magic vs. Indiana Pacers will be held at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indiana on Oct. 29 at 7:00 p.m. ET.
