Another series of matches were held around the country as another Sunday Night Football kicked off last night.

11 games were again played on the field last night. With an average of 8 matches played per each team, several are trying to stretch their winning streaks, some trying to end a losing slump, and some hoping to post their first win. Here's a lowdown of some of the games last night's SNF - which teams won and which ones lost.

San Francisco 49ers vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

The 49ers posted a big win against Jacksonville, as the Jaguars fall to 0-8 in the start of the season. With a 42-10 win, the Colin Kaepernick-led squad move up 6-2, extending their winning streak to 5 games. The QB threw 164 yards for one TD and ran 54 yards for two touchdowns. Frank Gore also completed two TDs.

Miami Dolphins vs. New England Patriots

The Pats were able to survive a dismal first half to push for a 24-0 second half and eventually bag the W against the Dolphins, 27-17. The Patriots only scored 3 points in the second, while without a point in the first. Miami, on the other hand, had 17 points in the first half but failed to score in the next two quarters. Struggling Tom Brady only passed 116 yards, with a 14-yard TD to Aaron Dobson.

This is the first win of the Patriots following their loss to the New York Jets last Sunday.

Dallas Cowboys vs. Detroit Lions

This was one of the most, if not the MOST, exciting game of the night. The Lions had an impeccable fourth quarter that helped them win their eighth game this season against the Dallas Cowboys.

Following a second and third quarter dump - being scoreless, against Dalllas' 13 points in the two Qs - Detroit scored 24 in the fourth to win by a mere point, 31-30. Matthew Stafford's 1-yeard push against Lions' men with less than 15 seconds to go, sealed the win for the team as they move up 5-3 in the standings.

Tony Romo helped secure three touchdowns Dallas, while Stafford had 488 yards in passing.

Washington Redskins vs. Denver Broncos

The Broncos move up 7-1 as they beat the Redskins, 45-21, at last night's match. Another come from behind win, Denver scored 31 points in the last quarter and the 38 points of the game to win. Peyton Manning helped seal the W with 4 touchdown passes, even after three intercepted passes. Robert Griffin, who injured his knee in the game, threw 132 yards and completing one TD.

The loss drops the Redskins 2-5.
