The 28th Royal Rumble is upon us, and it may be one of the most talked about annual events in its history.

With a triple threat match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match and the 30-man Royal Rumble match, it is hard to predict which match will main event and who will become the victor as the road to WrestleMania officially begins Sunday from the Well Fargo Center in Philadelphia.

Kickoff Show: The New Day (Big E, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) vs. Cesaro, Tyson Kidd and Adam Rose: Six-Man Tag Team Elimination Match

These two teams are fairly new to the WWE in terms of being a unit. The New Day made their debut, as a team, in late November last year, but let's be honest, they have not made a big splash on the scene. The team of Cesaro and Tyson Kidd is interesting and fresh with a combination of strength from Cesaro and the agility from Kidd. The addition of Adam Rose hasn't been fully explained or cleared, but perhaps he needed to be utilized for the time being.

Prediction:

The New Day will be victorious. The New Day is still a new stable to the WWE that needs to be taken seriously in the tag team division. The six-man tag team elimination match stipulation is an incentive to watch the match – plus, it will be interesting to see what combination moves Cesaro and Kidd will introduce.

WWE Tag Team Championship: The Usos (Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso) (c) vs. The Miz and Damien Mizdow:

The Miz and Damien Mizdow lost their tag team titles to The Usos during Monday Night Raw, and they have the right for a rematch. The two teams have battled against each other on many occasions, but could a rift be starting between The Miz and Mizdow?

Prediction:

We've lost track of the number of times there was an Usos vs. The Miz and Mizdow match, either in singles competition or as a tag team. It is time for the two teams to move on after the Royal Rumble, or at least this Monday night on Raw. As much as The Miz and Mizdow are great at interacting with the crowd, The Usos will get the win. The Usos are the top faces of the tag team division and will likely encounter The Ascension soon.

The New Age Outlaws (Road Dogg and Billy Gunn) vs. The Ascension (Konnor and Viktor):

The New Age Outlaws have returned to WWE television. The duo of Road Dogg and Billy Gunn returned to confront The Ascension on Monday Night Raw's "Reunion" special, which saw The Ascension encounter previous tag team stables and factions. The Ascension are now seeking revenge after The New Age Outlaws and other stables beat down the newcomers.

Prediction:

The New Age Outlaws will always receive a positive reaction for the sake of nostalgia from the Attitude Era, and, as a result, are huge stepping-stones for The Ascension. Konnor and Viktor will win on Sunday as they are the new team in the WWE. It should be interesting if The New Age Outlaws will remain on WWE television since we are on the road to WrestleMania.

Paige and Natalya vs. The Bella Twins (Brie Bella and Nikki Bella):

Nikki's Divas Championship is not at risk during the Royal Rumble, despite having losses against Natalya and Paige. Natyala and Paige, although a tag team at the Royal Rumble, have made it clear that they are not best friends and would like an opportunity for the Divas Championship. All four Divas are also cast members of Total Divas on E!

Prediction:

The fourth tag team match scheduled for Sunday, and yet it is tough to predict the outcome for this match. Since the Divas Championship is not on the line, either of the Bella Twins could take the loss. Paige and Natalya have garnered some momentum leading up to Sunday, but because of that same momentum, they will lose this Sunday. The Bella Twins will win, even though Natalya and Paige deserve it.

WWE World Heavyweight Championship: Brock Lesnar (c) vs. John Cena vs. Seth Rollins: Triple Threat Match:

The match was originally Brock Lesnar against John Cena, but Seth Rollins was added for his effort to bring The Authority (Triple H and Stephanie McMahon) back in power. The addition of Rollins does add new flavor to the match, since there already has been a few Cena vs. Lesnar matches. Leading up to the Royal Rumble, it appeared Rollins and Lesnar were on the same page, ensuring Cena does not win. However, Lesnar and Rollins have since imploded and scuffled with each other.

Prediction:

Rollins is the current Money in the Bank holder, and a win for him could make things interesting in regards to the future of the briefcase. However, Rollins won't win, and he'll likely be pinned on Sunday on what may be his biggest match yet. The title could go to either Cena or Lesnar. The question is, Could the WWE have Lesnar, as champion, off television until WrestleMania? There's no question the WWE would want to have Lesnar–champion or not–for WrestleMania since he's guaranteed to bring interest and viewers. It's a tough prediction, but Lesnar may be the narrow favorite to win.

The 30-Man Royal Rumble Match: Winner Receives A WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match at WrestleMania 31:

After the controversial result of the 2014 Royal Rumble, which failed to include hot-favorite Daniel Bryan and the disappointing climax of Batista winning, this year's match will include Bryan, and so far Batista is not advertised to appear. As of Sunday afternoon, the confirmed entrants include Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns, United States Champion Rusev, Intercontinental Champion Bad News Barrett, Bray Wyatt, Goldust, Stardust, Big Show, Kane, The Miz, Damien Mizdow, R-Truth, Dolph Ziggler, Ryback, Fandango and Luke Harper.

Prediction:

As with every Royal Rumble, expect some surprise entrants, however, the winner is most likely among the confirmed entrants in the aforementioned preview. Reigns is expected to continue his dominance as he did in last year's show, but will it be enough for a win? Yes. Reigns will win. Potential winners include Ambrose, Bryan and Ziggler, who are three extremely popular individuals with the WWE crowd. Bryan would be the second favorite pick following the decision to not include him last year.
