"Law & Order: SVU" meets "American Idol" when former "Idol" contestants Clay Aiken and Taylor Hicks guest star on the drama alongside Ashanti.

Clay Aiken, who came in second place on "American Idol" after losing to Ruben Studdard, Taylor Hicks, winner of "Idol" season five, and R&B singer Ashanti portray three judges on a singing competition show called "American Diva." Sound familiar?

The three faux judges filmed their scenes for the episode, titled "Dissonant Voices," at Manhattan's Hudson Theater.

Even "The X Factor" is represented in this special "Law & Order: SVU" episode. Carly Rose Sonenclar, who came in second on season 2 of another one of Simon Cowell's creations, plays a contestant in the episode, Zap2it reports.

Sonenclar wows Aiken, Hicks and Ashanti.

How would the three stars handle the jobs of 2014's "American Idol" judges Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick Jr. in real life?

"Some of us are really judgmental," Hicks said jokingly.

Ashanti would take more of a Paula Abdul approach.

"I would be the nice one, and love and constructive criticism," the "Only U" singer said.

Meanwhile, Aiken is not sure if he has the tough skin that at least one judge is expected to bring to the table.

"[I don't know if] I could do that to a fellow singer," he said.

"Kinky Boots" star and Tony Award winner Billy Porter also guest stars as a New York City high school singing teacher. Porter's character reaches the peak of his career on "American Diva" when he is accused of molesting his own students.

"Dissonant Voices" airs Wednesday, Nov. 6 at 9/8c on NBC.
