The 2015 Super Bowl halftime show will feature "I Kissed a Girl" singer Katy Perry. Perry has some jaw-dropping music videos, so could she have a controversial show? Viewers have already seen some elaborate halftime shows in the past, featuring nudity, middle fingers and suggestive fondling of a guitar. Let's take a look at the top five most controversial halftime acts of all time.

Janet Jackson featuring Justin Timberlake: Super Bowl XXXVIII

First and foremost, Janet Jackson's famous "wardrobe malfunction" in 2004 created shock and confusion for Super Bowl XXXVIII viewers. At the end of her loud and energetic performance, she was joined by Justin Timberlake for the song "Rock Your Body." Timberlake and Jackson danced all over to each other and exchanged lyrics like "talk to me boy" and "hurry up because you're taking too long" before the final "better have you naked by the end of this song" phrase was recited by Timberlake.

Timberlake then ripped a portion of Jackson's on-stage costume off revealing her naked breast. Jackson looked shocked, and then a firework goes off.

The wardrobe malfunction led to controversy and changes in the way broadcast television would display future content, but even after the Jackson incident, there have been other controversial shows.

Madonna featuring Nicki Minaj and M.I.A.: Super Bowl XLVI

In the 2012 Super Bowl, Madonna took the stage with Nicki Minaj and guest singer M.I.A. The performance was relatively tame, except M.I.A. gave the middle finger directly to NBC cameras.

M.I.A. heard from the NFL for her middle finger display via a $16.6 million lawsuit. In response, she cited a 2007 performance by Prince in which he stroked his guitar in a sexual manner behind a gold curtain.

Michael Jackson: Super Bowl XXVII

In 1993, Michael Jackson had plenty of crotch grabbing during his singing of "Billy Jean." In M.I.A.'s response to her proposed fine from the NFL, her lawyer said that the NFL had to know that Jackson was going to grab his crotch during his performance, but Jackson was not fined, however.

"Elvis": Super Bowl XXIII

Finally, in 1989, Elvis came back to life for the Super Bowl -- or, was it Elvis Presto? It was a weird performance that even included an in-show magic trick. Watch for yourself:
