Eminem made an appearance on BET's "106 and Park" for a special episode to promote and celebrate this week's highly anticipated release of his latest album, "The Marshall Mathers LP 2." BET brought back the channel's classic programs "The Backroom Freestyle" and "Rap City," where the Detroit rapper gave a memorable freestyle performance and shared his musical insight.

It was just like how they did back in 2009 following the release of "Relapse." With Big Tigger returning as guest host, "Rap City Presents: Em 360" kicked off with freestyle from Slim Shady and his crew Slaughterhouse in the backroom.

In the nonstop nine-minute backroom freestyle over a beat from Illmind, Slaughterhouse's Joe Budden, Royce Da 5'9'', Joell Ortiz and Crooked I each took turns to spit some verses, before self-proclaimed Rap God took over.

After the exciting rhyming session, Eminem finally sat down with Big Tigger for an interview. In a lengthy interview, the "Berzerk" rapper talked working with Kendrick Lamar and evolving over the course of his career. He also shared in detail about making each of his albums, reflecting on those particular times in his life, including the original "Marshall Mathers LP," which was released in 2000.

"Fast," said Eminem. "Fast, like things zipping by me. Everything was happening fast. A lot of it is really blurry to me. This swirl of everything happening at once felt like my life was whizzing by me. I felt like I was being drug her or drug there. I almost didn't feel in control of my life anymore. All I wanted to do was rap, but I didn't know how much work went into this... All I wanted to do, especially at that time... All I still want to do, but especially at that time, was I just want to rap. I come from the underground. I'm an underground emcee. I just want to rap. I just want my records to be heard by enough people to where I get respected by my peers. That's all I want. I don't wanna go do three shows in one day and then this club appearance. It's just a lot. At that time, I wasn't ready for it and I don't think nobody was in the camp. It was crazy for all of us."
