The MTV European Music Awards has just concluded but it wasn't without any surprises nor controversies. With a lineup that included Eminem, One Direction, Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus, you can be pretty sure the awards show was more than entertaining.

Opening the show at the Ziggo Dome arena in Amsterdam was Miley Cyrus who never seizes to give a controversial performance. Singing her hit "We Can't Stop", Miley wore a silver dress as she sang and twerked around her spaceship-themed set with another little person. The Singer also bagged the Best Video EMA for "Wrecking Ball." In celebration of the win, she lit up a big stick of marijuana and puffed it on stage.

Other performers of the night included Katy Perry who performed her new song "Unconditionally", while Eminem performed "Rap God." Kings of Leon, The Killers and Robin Thicke also performed at the show.

Notably, Justin Timberlake, who had one of the most nominations at the show, didn't win any of the categories. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, who had five nominations, only won in one category.

Redfoo, a member of the duo LMFAO, kept the audience on their heels with quips and jokes as he hosted the show.
