Miami Heat superstar Chris Bosh could miss the remainder of the 2014-15 NBA season after undergoing several examinations on his lungs, the Miami Herald reported.

Bosh reportedly complained of discomfort in his chest during the All-Star break and was admitted to a hospital in Miami on Thursday to undergo several tests.

According to Heat coach Erik Spoelstra, the team is not ready to release a statement at this point because test results are still being evaluated.

"It's too early for an ultimate diagnosis," Spoelstra said via ESPN, when asked about the condition of their superstar power forward. "I know there is a lot of speculation, a lot of rumors right now."

According to reports, Bosh may have developed blood clot in his lung. The 30-year-old superstar will undergo more tests and will visit more specialists on Friday and Saturday, but if reports about the alleged blood clot in his lung are true, Bosh will likely miss the remainder of the season as he will be limited to certain activities for at least six months.

Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James, who played with Bosh in Miami for four seasons and has been a close friend of the 12-year veteran since they were drafted in 2003, expressed concern over his former teammate's condition. The four-time Most Valuable Player said that he is still waiting for words from Bosh.

"I texted Chris last night and, obviously, he probably doesn't have his phone, so I'm just waiting to hear back from him," James told reporters on Friday. "I'm praying. My prayers is up. My hands is open and I'm wishing him the best. My fingers is crossed, for sure. Basketball is a small thing when it comes to health and people's family."

Adrienne Bosh, the wife of the former Georgia Tech standout, took to Twitter to thank all the players and fans who have expressed support to her husband. She also added that Bosh is "doing ok" on Friday afternoon.

The news about Bosh's condition came after the league was shocked by the sudden passing of former Portland Trail Blazers superstar Jerome Kersey, who died at age 52 on Wednesday because of a blood clot in his lung.

Brooklyn Nets forward Mirza Teletovic was also ruled out for the rest of the season last month after tests revealed that he developed multiple blood clots in his lungs.
