In the upcoming sixth episode of "Being Mary Jane," expect to see Mary Jane's hormones "raging out of control" after she gets an hCG trigger shot that prompts a 36-hour countdown until her ovulation, according to the official description shared by Rotten Tomatoes.

In the midst of her hormonal meltdown, Mary Jane is also offered an exclusive story from Sheldon DeWitt, continues to sabotage her friendship with Lisa, and also receives a surprise visit from David.

The sixth episode of "Being Mary Jane," "Pulling the Trigger," airs on BET on March 10 at 10/9c.

In other "Being Mary Jane" news, the show's lead actress, Gabrielle Union recently revealed to Entertainment Weekly that majoring in sociology in college influenced her acting career.

"I love to study people," Union said about why she became a sociology major. "As a sociology major, I did a lot of field study where I'm just watching people and taking notes and I sort of use that with my [acting.]"

Union also discussed how for the majority of her career thus far she was an underrated actress until she was given the opportunity to star in "Being Mary Jane."

Now that "Being Mary Jane" has become a hit on BET, Union reveals she is surprisingly approached by male fans who love the show.

"I get [approached] because I travel constantly," Union said in a separate interview with EW. "Usually you can kinda tell who's a fan of what project. With Bring It On, they stopped being teenage girls maybe a week after the movie. It transcended race, gender, culture. And [with] 'Mary Jane,' the people who are most vocal have been men. In terms of "I know her. I'm married to her. That's my daughter. That's my mother." For some reason, men have been the most vocal."

In addition to talking about "Being Mary Jane," Union also praised Shonda Rhimes for diversifying the characters and actors that audiences see on television.

"Shonda [Rhimes], who's taken over a whole night of television and filled [it] with diversity, and she's succeeding," Union said. "So success breeds more. Now everybody is open to it."
