The New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox and the New York Mets will make their 2015 MLB season opener on Monday afternoon.

The Yankees, who will look to end their two-year playoff drought this season, will open their campaign against the Toronto Blue Jays at the Yankee Stadium in New York.

All eyes will be on starting pitcher Masahiro Tanaka as he makes his debut with questions about his injured elbow, which limited the Japanese star to just 20 starts in his rookie season last year.

Tanaka, who signed a seven-year deal worth $155 million with the Yankees last year, was relatively healthy throughout spring training, but the 26-year-old said that he will look to establish a pitching style this season as there are still fears about his right elbow, which has a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament.

Aside from Tanaka, Alex Rodriguez is also expected to have a fair share of the spotlight as he is expected to play in his first game since being suspended for the one season for his involvement in the Biogenesis scandal.

Rodriguez had an impressive spring campaign for the Yankees, batting .267 with three homeruns and four RBIs. Yankees manager Joe Girardi expects Rodriguez to play well on Monday, but he is not ready to make a prediction on how the veteran will perform for the entire season.

The Yankees-Blue Jays match is scheduled to start at 1 p.m. ET. Fans can catch the match on ESPN and through online live stream via WatchESPN.

On the other hand, the Red Sox, who are also looking to bounce back from their disappointing performance last season, will begin their campaign against the Philadelphia Phillies at the Citizens Bank Park.

Clay Buchholz will start for the Red Sox against Cole Hamels. Curiously, Hamels was linked to a trade to Boston before the season started, but no deal was finalized. The star pitcher even admitted that he expected his first game this season will involve the Red Sox -- as his team or as his opponent.

The Red Sox-Phillies match is scheduled to start at 3:05 p.m. ET. It will be shown live on NBC 10 and will also be available via online streaming on MLB TV.

The New York Mets are also scheduled to make their season opener on Monday afternoon against the Washington Nationals at the Nationals Park in Washington.

Bartolo Colon will start for the Mets, while Max Scherzer will look to lead to the Nationals to an impressive debut. Game is scheduled to begin at 4:05 p.m. ET and will be shown live on ESPN and online streaming via WatchESPN.
