As fans of VH1’s hit reality series “Mob Wives” already know, Angela Raiola has just had surgery for throat cancer.

There has been an outpouring of sympathy for the reality star, and so Big Ang’s baby sister, Janine Detore, put together a donation page to focus that support into funds that would help cover some of the medical bills.

But after just a day, she has pulled the plug on the project.

As reported by TMZ Detore explained that "Mob Wives" fans were actually reaching out and asking how they could make donations to help Ang cover the bills for her treatment.

In response to the desires of concerned “Mob Wives” fans, Detore created a GoFundMe page.

After a fan wondered why a reality TV star was asking for money, Detore reevaluated the whole idea of the fundraiser, telling TMZ that Ang and her family were capable of handling any expenses that the insurance might not cover.

She said she was sorry for asking fans for the money, and apparently Big Ang was unaware that the page was even up.

Detore claims the site brought in $150 during the few hours it was operating.

Earlier this month, Detore spoke to RadarOnline about how little the family knew about the cancer, saying that they would know more once the surgery was over. They would later choose the proper course of treatment.

“You don’t know what they are going to do: whether they are going to have chemo or radiation or nothing," Detore said.

Speaking about her sister’s state of mind before the operation, Detore said, “Who wouldn’t get nervous about having a 7-hour surgery?”

“It’s a long time so of course she’s nervous. She’s got a lot of nieces and nephews that are worried, her grandchildren, her daughter, her son, her husband, her other siblings… we’re all nervous of course,” added Detore.

All went well and Ang is reportedly resting at home and recovering.

Detore stated, however, that the doctors are planning another surgery to remove Ang's right lymph nodes as a precautionary measure.
