Soulful crooner K. Michelle is rumored to be still pining for Idris Elba, as evidenced by her new song "Maybe I Should Call."

According to Necole Bitchie, Michelle and the former "The Wire" star once dated for nearly a year and she still seems to be holding on to the memories.

Later, Michelle went as far as comparing herself to the black Taylor Swift, adding, "I make it very clear with my exes from the beginning, they know me, they know I write songs about them. If I can't write a song about you, I'm not going to date you."

In the song on the "Anybody Wanna Buy a Heart?" album believed to be an ode to Elba, Michelle waxes, "Long distance in the way of what could be. Even when you're here, you're not with me... Is there any room left in your heart for me?"

The website adds Michelle later admits that the tune is about a particular person and reflects the way she's been feeling this way for nearly the last year. Even given all the heartbreak, Michelle reflects she's happy for having had the experience because without it she would have never had experiences needed to compose her latest songs.

Michelle recently appeared on an episode of the Breakfast Club radio show, where she all but admitted Elba was the muse for her latest creation. K. Michelle recalls she and Elba first met at the Soul Train Awards, and, though he initially didn't strike her as her type, the two were, nonetheless, were drawn to one another.

"He's a very clean person," she said. "He's well-mannered. I think that showed me another side of the type of man I can date. I never thought I would want a man's man, but after [Idris], I might be done with the snap backs."

According to Famouz Fix, Michelle has previously been romantically linked to NBA players J.R. Smith and Lance Stephenson, singer R. Kelly and rappers Mase and Safaree Samuels.
