The next episode of "The Good Wife" will be intense as Alicia Florrick will be forced to resign from her new position as State Attorney due to a conspiracy involving voter fraud.

Earlier this season, Alicia won the State's Attorney race after a long and tedious election campaign. However, she was then accused of voter fraud and forced to deal with the accusations while undergoing a search to clear her name.

Although it was clear that Alicia did nothing wrong, she was still asked to step down by the Democratic Party in order to save the majority in the state senate election, which involved voter fraud. Alicia tried to fight back, but the lawyer who was suppose to help her with the elections board threw her under the bus.

In an interview with E! News, actress Julianna Margulies opened up about what's next for Alicia now that she has been forced out of her seat.

"My guess is she's going to stay away from politics. ... I think she's so disgusted with the system," Margulies said.

She also teased that Alicia might try to "find the good in it and she'll probably fight twice as hard. But I can guarantee you, it's going to cause conflict in the courtroom."

In the meantime, Deadline revealed that London-based actress Cush Jumbo will join the legal drama in a reoccurring role. It is also possible that Jumbo, who starred on Broadway's "The River" with Hugh Jackman, could replace Archie Panjabi's character Kalinda Sharma.

According to CarterMatt, the synopsis for the next episode, "The Deconstruction," reads as follows:

"Alicia faces an uncertain future when she is forced to resign as State's Attorney in the wake of a voter fraud scandal. Also, R.D. (Oliver Platt) hires Diane and Cary to argue against two ultra-conservative lawyers for a test case involving mandatory minimum sentencing."

Season 6, Episode 20 of "The Good Wife," "The Deconstruction," will air on Sunday, April 26, at 9 p.m. on CBS.
