Bobby Brown formally filed for guardianship over his daughter's estate.

According to 11Alive, the Atlanta area home in question is the same one where the only child born to Brown and Whitney Houston was found comatose and unresponsive in late January. After being discovered face down in her bathtub, Bobbi Kristina Brown was rushed to an area hospital, where she remained in a medically induced coma for at least several weeks.

Brown recently left his daughter's side for the first time since her ordeal commenced to perform at an April 18 concert in Dallas. While on stage, he told the audience his daughter was "awake" and "no longer on life support" but later was forced to clarify his statements.

"Bobbi Kristina's condition has changed since moving from Emory University Hospital and there has been improvement," Brown's lawyer Christopher Brown told Us Weekly. "Doctors have indicated that she will have a long life. However, Bobbi Kristina is presently embarking on a rehabilitation process and the quality of her life will not be known for years to come."

Meanwhile, Bobbi Kristina's grandmother. Cissy Houston, recently told WBLS radio there was "still not a great deal of hope" for her granddaughter. "She's the same," she said of the irreversible brain damage she reportedly now suffers from.

Since being hospitalized, authorities have also launched a criminal probe into the circumstances surrounding Bobbi Kristina's injuries after several unexplained bruises were found on her body.

TMZ previously reported the target of the investigation is Nick Gordon, Bobbi Kristina's live-in boyfriend. The website added there is a history of violence between the two, and there may have been an altercation between the pair an hour or so before she was found unconscious.

At some, point Gordon and friend Max Lomas cleaned up blood stains throughout the home in the hours after Bobbi Kristina was found unconscious.
