Gerardo Ortiz posted Instagram photos ahead of the Billboard Latin Music Awards expressing his love of performing.

The singer posted a photo while singing in the spotlight. He captioned the post, "Doing what I like most."

In another post, he says "Thank you puebla" while performing with a bright smile on his face.

Ortiz also posted a blurred photo of him singing on stage. He captioned the post, "What a beautiful night I spent in the arena with all my people singing my songs!! Thank you. Good night"

The Pasadena, California native performed in Puebla Sunday morning, where he combined pyrotechnics and the sound of the drums, Cambio de Puebla reports. His performance lasted for more than three hours, as he kicked off with "Quién se Anima" and "El Mono Verde." Mariachi joined Ortiz in his performance for "Mujer de Piedras" and "Perdóname."

Meanwhile, Ortiz will perform at this year's Billboard Latin Music Awards along with a host of other stars, Billboard reports.

Gerardo Ortiz has topped the Top Latin Album chart five times during his career as he revolutionized Latin music for the Mexican genre.

Other performers include salsa star Marc Anthony, Luis Fonsi, pop star Belinda, dance king Juan Magan, Nicky Jam and Gente de Zona, singer and producer Ne-Yo and Mexican star Pedro Fernandez.

Ne-Yo collaborated with Pitbull, Afrojack and Nayer on the 2011 hit "Give Me Everything." His recent album "Non-Fiction" made No. 5 on the Billboard Top 200.

Billboard previously confirmed that Jennifer Lopez is performing for this year's ceremony as well.

Other stars in the lineup include Romeo Santos, Juanes, Natalia Jiménez, AfroJack, Wisin, Daddy Yankee, Carlos Santana, J Balvin, Carlos Vives, Julión álvarez y Su Norteño Banda, Ana Gabriel, Lucero, Alejandro Sanz, and Roberto Carlos.

The 2015 Billboard Latin Music Awards airs on Telemundo April 30, according to Latin Post.
