Katy Perry and John Mayer appear to be back on after they were spotted holding hands and "exchanging several passionate kisses" at a MET Gala after party Monday night in New York City.

According to Us Weekly, the pair hooked up at the Boom Boom Room in the Meatpacking District after the formal event had ended and Perry seemed to have ditched fashion designer escort Jeremy Scott.

Neither Perry nor the 37-year-old "Your Body Is a Wonderland" crooner has recently talked about the status of their relationship. The two first publicly split around Valentine's Day in 2014 after being a couple for around two years. By end April of that same year, they were spotted at a Memorial Day party acting "very flirty."

Earlier this year, the pair was also seen dining together and Mayer reportedly spent the night at the "Roar" singer's home. When Perry performed during the halftime show at the Super Bowl, Mayer was again on the scene with her at the after party.

Perry, 30, was briefly married to comedian Russell Brand for 14 months, before the two infamously split via text messages he sent to her.

Perry later told the Daily Record she considered suicide after her breakup with Brand, adding, "I asked myself, 'Do I want to endure? Should I continue living?'"

Meanwhile, Mayer has been romantically linked to the likes of Jennifer Aniston, Taylor Swift, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Jessica Simpson and Minka Kelly.

Following her messy split with him, Swift penned a song about Mayer entitled "Dear John," in which she implied she should have known better than to have ever dated him. Mayer later told Rolling Stone the song totally humiliated him.
