Raven-Symoné recently appeared as a guest co-host on "The View" and shared her opinion on Miley Cyrus' recent interviews about her gender identification and sexuality, The Wrap reports.

In an interview with The Associated Press, Cyrus revealed not all her relationships were solely heterosexual.

Cyrus also had an interview with Out, where she opened up about her gender identification.

"I didn't want to be a boy," she told Out. "I kind of wanted to be nothing. I don't relate to what people would say defines a girl or a boy, and I think that's what I had to understand: Being a girl isn't what I hate, it's the box that I get put into."

Following her Out interview, Cyrus took to Instagram and posted an Instagrab photo from Daily Dot to address her statement adding that "nothing" will define her and she chooses to be free in all aspects of her life.

NOTHING can/will define me! Free to be EVERYTHING!!!

The female co-hosting panel of "The View" later weighed in on Cyrus' comments, and Symoné was in full support of Cyrus' sexuality and gender identification views. Symoné noted that prior to Cyrus, she was the first to say that she did not want to be labeled and wanted to "free" herself of being boxed into any particular category.

A clip of Symoné's 2014 interview with Oprah Winfrey, where she says she does not want to be labeled as "gay" or "straight," played on teh show.

"Miley, I agree with you and, girl, I said it first," Symone said. "Miley, I agree, we should not be labeled because it creates tension between people and you feel like you can look down, like that's this type of person and this is how I should feel about you."

Rosie Perez also chimed in on the discussion agreeing that labels aren't necessary, and the use of labels is a "generational thing" that was previously used because people at the time were "disenfranchised."
