Actress and model Ruby Rose, who has joined the cast of the hugely popular Netflix hit series "Orange Is the New Black," plays Stella Carlin, who becomes entangled in an intense love triangle with Piper Chapman (Taylor Schilling) and Alex Vause (Laura Prepon).

"'I've hit the ground running' after starring on the show," she told Sunday Style magazine, The Daily Mail reports.

But before her involvement in the juicy new plot, Rose admits that before the Netflix original hit series gained critical acclaim and Emmy, People's Choice and Screen Actors Guild awards, she wasn't so sure about the show's future.

"'It has women directors, writers and producers; it's about women in prison. Everything about it had "failure" written on it,' she said, referring to the way the series broke new ground for audiences who hadn't seen a show like it before and may have been divided over the content."

Rose has used social media to further extend her support of the show, promoting the Season 3 premiere, which kicks off on June 12. On her Instagram account, she posted a teaser shot of herself in beige jumpsuit alongside Schilling's character Piper Chapman, The Daily Mail points out.

Before landing the "Orange Is the New Black" gig, the model was cast as Hannah in 2013 Australian film "Around the Block." She was also a MTV VJ and a former panelist on "The Project." In her personal life, Rose is engaged to her partner Phoebe Dahl.
